It was a hot day in Fort Worth. The summer has been at an all time high this year for the area, hanging out in the low 100’s in June. I pulled up to the parking lot to greet Lauren and Nathan for their Airfield Falls engagement session. We spent just a minute waving to each other through the windows, to gain a few extra seconds of A.C. before stepping out into the heat. As we walked, we were quickly covered in sweat, but Lauren and Nathan were all smiles and giggles as we headed through the trees to the falls.
I’ve known Nathan for several years, and when he first told me about Lauren I knew he had most likely found his match. Lauren’s positive, yet calm, go-with-the-flow energy is the perfect balance to Nathan’s high energy, and playful persona. Their passions and love for their families align, and it seems like they just fit perfectly into the others’ life.
When we were discussing the perfect location for their session, we knew they wanted something that captured nature, and the outdoors. I sent them some pictures of Airfield Falls, and we agreed it was the perfect destination. Not only are the falls gorgeous, even without a stead flowing stream of falling water, but the fields and trees surrounding the area create dreamy backdrops of movement, greenery and light. Take a look for yourself, but in my opinion, it did not disappoint!
Lauren + Nate: Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your constant love and support. And most of all, thank you for trusting me to capture the the love and joy that you share. I am honored to have played a small role in celebrating and supporting you, as you move into this next wonderful chapter of life together. Here’s to you!
